Painter Tim Hovde
I have lived in Arizona for the last fifteen years. I am originally from North Dakota, where I discovered abstract painting at a very early age. While I am largely a self taught artist, I did study the arts in college. I enjoy painting regular and large scale pieces and am willing to work on commission.
The motivation for my work is to show the evolving relationships between the emotions and experiences in everyday life. In the course of twenty-four hours, one will experience a multitude of changes in the world and I wish to capture those changes. I am a very prolific painter, however I do delve into series of works. I enjoy working with several mediums: oil, pastel, and mixed media. I paint in a number of ever-evolving styles which allows my work to reflect a constant but fresh perspective. I also delve into logical, structured forms of abstraction. Picasso, Kandinsky, Matisse and Pollack have influenced my work.
Tim Hovde is part owner & artist in residence of Gallery 360 which is located in North Scottsdale. on the northeast corner of Pinnacle Peak and Pima, La Mirada shopping center.
